The World of Dialogue Almost Broke Me.

For years, I’ve felt like I was trying to hold the world together with my two bare hands. And when the assassination of Charlie Kirk happened and the divide in our country seemed to deepen overnight, I felt helpless.... almost as if I had failed in my mission.
I know. It all sounds somewhat ridiculous. But if you’ve ever carried a calling that felt bigger than you, you know what I mean.
So I made a decision.
Realizing I had been carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders led me to a breaking point. I’ve always been an unapologetic woman of faith. It’s the source of all my work: the dinners, the dialogues, the workshops. But for too long, I was offering these things without allowing that foundation to fully shape them.. In doing so, I unknowingly took the weight of the mission onto my own shoulders, instead of partnering with God to carry it out. And so I've decided to officially reposition Set The Table as a faith-based organization.
We will still serve all sectors. I will still offer non-prescriptive workshops for corporate and professional settings. But my community & culture work will now be faith-forward — rooted in Christ-centered principles that ultimately pointing others towards God. I see no other solution for our human condition.
I’m currently creating a new workshop called Dignity in the Divide: A practical guide to living Christlike in how to engage those we disagree with both courage and grace. This work more encompasses who I am and what I'm most passionate about.
I’d love for all of you to join me in this new chapter, but I understand that some who are not Christian may choose to part ways — and there will be no hard feelings. Whether alongside Set The Table or through your own mission, let’s keep setting the table for a healthier, more whole society.
I'm rooting for you.
With love,
Peace
